"One of the most talented singer/songwriters around at the moment." - TONY MCGUINESS, ABOVE & BEYOND
In the male-dominated world of EDM, one artist is determined to be seen as more than ‘eye candy’ or a voice for hire. ARUNA is not solely the pretty vocalist you hear on your favorite dance tracks - she’s penned a chart-topping single recorded by Miley Cyrus for the multi-platinum selling #1 Billboard Hannah Montana soundtrack, collaborated with some of dance music's biggest stars, and has since added both DJing and producing to her arsenal of skills. Along with being a classically trained pianist and formerly sought after studio musician, it’s safe to say that ARUNA is one of the industry’s most exciting and successful leading Ladies.
ARUNA got her start in dance music recording with a host of internationally recognized producers, including Cosmic Gate, ATB, Markus Schulz, Myon & Shane54 and Roger Shah. Her debut solo single, ‘Let Go,’ was released on esteemed UK imprint Anjunabeats’ Volume 8 compilation and cracked the iTunes Dance Top 200 singles chart at #150. But ARUNA's true breakout moment came in May 2012 when her track ‘Live Forever’ with Dutch legend Ferry Corsten shot to #2 on the UK Upfront Top 40 Club chart. Dubbed the “anthem of the summer” by fans around the world, ‘Live Forever’ became one of the Top 50 most played tracks of 2012 on Sirius XM BPM and stayed at #1 on the Beatport Trance chart for nearly eight weeks straight, while the official music video racked up over a million views on YouTube -- 100,000 in the first two days alone. 2013 saw the arrival of her debut collaboration with the former #1 DJ in the world, Armin Van Buuren , ‘Wont Let You Go’, on his artist album Intense, which shot to #1 on iTunes in 20 countries the day of its release. In the proceeding years, ARUNA shifted her focus towards the release her own singles such as "The End" and "What If", which received support by everyone from Nicky Romero and W&W to Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren in addition to airplay on Sirius XM BPM, later stepping up to the plate with her debut remix for Aly & Fila and her debut house collaboration, "The Chase", with EDM luminaries Laidback Luke & GTA.
Her podcast, The Hot List, rocketed to #14 on the iTunes Top 200 Music Podcasts chart following a much buzzed-about debut guest mix on Above & Beyond's Trance Around The World, racking up more than a million downloads in the two months following. Her show has continued charting consistently in the Top 200 for over three years since and in December of 2015 spawned the first chapter of what's sure to become an annual compilation series, The Hot List: Volume One, which peaked at #36 on the iTunes Top 200 Dance Albums chart.
The songstress/DJ has been a regular fixture on the international circuit as well, touring consistently both singing and spinning live, with highlight performances at such festivals as ASOT 550 and Nocturnal Wonderland, and at top clubs the world over including Foundation (Seattle), Lizard Lounge (Dallas), Avalon (Los Angeles), Exchange (Los Angeles), ATT Showbox (Taipei), X2 (Jakarta), Home (Sydney) and a live performance with Armin van Buuren at the Hollywood Palladium.
With a growing social media presence and plans in the works for numerous self-produced singles, remixes and high-profile collaborations, it seems the future is golden for this unique, multifaceted artist, who continues to raise the bar, break barriers and keep people guessing.
